President Leon Backes founded Provident Realty Advisors in 1991 to develop challenging real estate projects which offer the potential for above market returns if creatively developed.  Following this model, Backes has formed and led partnerships to invest in or develop real estate in excess of $1 billion. These activities have focused on retail developments for such major corporations as Albertson’s, Target, Lowe’s and WalMart, land acquisition and development, self-storage facilities, major renovation and redevelopment of former retail malls and manufacturing facilities and the purchase of industrial building portfolios.
